Artist Statement
A majority (if not all) of my work is an attempt to convey what I see through my eyeballs; what my mind places in my field of vision whilst observing what surrounds me. My paintings record the result of associations or attachments that occur at the intersection of conscious and subconscious, capturing the fusion of my tangible and intangible realities. In other words, I paint what I see whether I want to or not, regardless of if said perception is existent or imaginary, as I explore the area between nonsensicality and true worldliness through the mundane. That being said, I use my work to get a read on myself, and my goal in relation to the viewer is not for one to interpret what anything means to me. Rather, I would like for you to view the image I have created in relation to yourself, what is important in your eyeballs, and what associations and attachments you notice as you observe what I am presenting.
